PLANNING THE KARMANN VISIT 17th-20th of AUGUST - (was: Retro Cars 02/2006)

Hi, This is Kathy. Sorry to cause problems. I just was trying to figure out where to stay for the meet. I am just the planner type person. I wanted to make sure we had some where booked since it is the busy tourist season. I don’t mind camping but we won’t have any camping gear since we are flying there. The IBIS is the cheapest place I could find in Osnabrueck. I would prefer a cheaper place. I had looked at Formula 1 but the closest one was 30+ minutes away. I don’t know what the discount chains are in Europe.

I look forward to the event! It will be fun!

Should I find a motel in Ibbenbüren instead?

@ Doug: Given that I have possibly made a bit of a mistake and wet my British mates' appetites regarding a T-shirt with your proposed logo on it, would it be possible to as per my suggestion further above, replace the Mk2 Rocco with a side-view Corrado? They'd all go for a shirt (that's 6 T-shirts in total for folks from the UK to iron for Dirk then ).

Right, sorted all hotel nights for my lot from the UK, we've all booked the ferry tickets, we're ready to roll, bring on August Well, there are still quite a few nice events here on the island before that

I see that Martin and members of the Scirocco forum visited Osnabrueck to see Willi Schwebe. They received a gift too: a round tarpaulin to hang up with a large Karmann emblem. Is Willi Schwebe a former director of Karmann?
