Hi and welcome,

Does your radiator fan start up? If not check the thermostat, and the fan itself (visible damage, does it start up when applying an external voltage)

Is there sufficient coolant in your coolant reservoir? Is the cap screwed on tightly?

Nothing blocking air access to the radiator?

Check the drivebelt (V-belt) on the waterpump for any obvious slippage or similar.

HTH,

Tempest

Hello Lucysoft!

You told us that the radiator doesn't work. I think You want to say that the fan doesn't works?
If really the radiator is not warm then it is the problem what Tempest explained.
If the fan of the radiator do not work it seem to be the same problem as I had with my '92 GT II 16V with PL-engine.
It happend in Munich as also the traffic stucks. Temperature rised continusly until the red warn light flashed up. Only with car-heating on and fan speed on 3 I could continue my drive.
Now I know the problem: It was the temperatureswitch, which turns on and off the radiator! It is located at the right sight of the radiator. Look between radiator and batterie, then You can see him.
Change it and the problem will be solved!!

with best regards
Willi
