@ Doug:
>The information I posted is incomplete and unofficial for sure!!!!
That's OK, as your info till Friday including Firday aftrenoon is pretty spot on anyway (most of which is under our own control

). The Karmann museum visit is very very likely to happen (assume it's going to happen). What won't happen is another factory tour, as Karmann will have had to lay off about 1000 employees the month before
I'll see whether we can influence what cars will be on display on the day we're admitted to the museum. My mates and I (and I'm sure some others) are dying to see the one remaining 16V G60 Corrado that's sitting in the basement beneath the museum (albeit that it's trashed during a test drive on the Karmann test track in Papenburg - they only ever made 5 !).
@ Dirk:
>I havn`t seen a pool on site , but the sanitary equipment there is nice and tidy.
There was a pool at the camping site that we used during the last 2 years, as my GB-mates made use of it last year - very nice it was indeed, or so they told me.
This year we're likely to be at a different camp site (more of a sports field) in the nearby Ibbenbüren, to keep costs down and for some other reasons.
@ Doug:
>Osnabrueck. I am not sure that this is the same as Osnabrück?
Yes, it is.
>I have now way to know if this is a good place to stay.
Yes, the Ibis hotels are of a good standard, comparable to the better Holiday Inn branches in the States (where my parents and I had to once live for 2 months till my parents had found a house, such were the joys of living in the construction engineering world, where you constantly had to move around the globe).
My mates and I can't afford Ibis (we own Corrados after all

), so we're taking the Formule 1 hotel for Wednesday onto Thursday night (before we turn up at the Ring), which is also part of the Accor group, but much cheaper (€36 for a double room).
> I would like to learn as much as possible about Karmann
I'll bring some books on Karmann for you to peruse during the meet
>I made a quick black cat and Hornstein for Dirk!
Not bad at all. I'm wondering whether I could be cheeky enough to ask you to replace the Mk1 in the above Karmann-meet logo with my Mk1. What's the difference, you say? Well, it's got some flared arches, bit of a body kit front and back, which is why folks like Dirk "lovingly" call it my Yoghurt-pot (too much plastic for some, apparently

).
