Yes I have concerns that the EU will not be truly united and fail to take action until it is too late.
Well, that's nothing new  Bickering is built into the EU. Then again, that's not really surprising, considering how the EU was established, and each individual country's background (historical, political, financial), the wars that have been fought over the centuries. There are many different cultures, or at least different attitudes, within what the EU tries to (sometimes forcefully) unite. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that IF this is going to work, it'll take a long time.

Anyway, wish you well in the enw season, hopefully can make it to a few more races and drag home some more trophies.

Dying to finally get behind the wheel of my Mk1 again, but not until another month

Are you just in town for only the 17th? The local A1 GTG is on the 16th (but that's primarily Golf /Jetta and all the way in Walnut Creek).

I'm sure we could organize something with the Bay Area folks if there was enough interest. But most of the locals (aside from Neil and Ally and maybe Guido) don't check in that frequently.

Also, need to know if you will have a car.

What is he looking for? parts? cars? GTG?
Doug T hat geschrieben:
I think he just wants to meet some locals and talk shop. If you have some parts like US MK2 lights I am sure he would trade for some other part.
Zender hat geschrieben:I still have my 16V parts car..It still has the US headlight brackets with 4"X6" H4 and H1s..... :D

Any day but the 17th, as I already have something going on that day. How about the 18th?

Every time, when i´m looking at pictures of your ride, i´m thinking about your steering. At the first sight your rims seem to be too wide to steer. :grins: But it looks so great, when the tyres stands out of the carbody. :sabber:
I hope my english is not too bad. :verlegen:
God luck so far!

I`ll be in San Francisco only for the time of AAO convention (just 5 days) and the hotel is quite close so I do not need a car this time (Holiday Inn Civic Center).
